What Do Women Really Want?

What Do Women Want? Here is something that every guy wonders about, whether it’s with their girlfriend, their wives or even with their first date. There are numerous numbers of sources out there where you can get your information: websites, magazines and the simple advices your friends tell you.

Because of these numerous and differing sources, things can really get confusing, especially in the modern age where women are more empowered. They are independent, and can take care of themselves. So where does that leave the men? How can we know what women really want?

The truth is that women love to be pampered. They love to be taken care of. But, at the same time, they also want to be independent. Women want a guy who is sensitive, who knows when to be there for them and when to give them space to do what they want. Still confused? Don’t be, it’s much easier than it sounds.

Holding Hands

Whether we’re talking about a woman who looks classically feminine, or someone who is more modern and independent, their desires share the same thing, and that is to be the center of your world.

First, let’s explore the basics. We, as men, should know that women love to communicate. Notice that I’m saying “communicate”, and not “talk”. It’s not about sprouting out a thousand words a minute. Rather, it’s about knowing and sharing your opinions, your interests. Such things can include the humble happenings of your day. Now, we must be reminded that this is a two way street, which means that you also have to find out about your partner’s day. First you talk, and now you listen. Act accordingly.

This process is a matter of time. Remember, you take out time to find out about your partner through communication. So what happens now is that you have to spend time with her. She should be an integral part of your daily life. If you’re at work, take time out periodically to give her a call and say hello. Spend time with her when you get home. But remember, there is a fine line from smothering and caring. You should still have your own life. Never abandon doing the things that you love. Though it’s true that she needs to know that she’s the center of your world, you also need her to miss you every so often. And remember, a woman loves the complete package, which is someone who is caring, protective, supportive AND has a lot of things going for them. They want someone who is the center of other people’s attention. Bear in mind, all of what I’ve talked so far revolves around the feeling of being loved, and everyone loves to be wanted.

The next is obviously the gifts. Women love gifts, whether it’s little tokens of appreciation, flowers or even chocolates. Well, for that matter, everybody loves gifts don’t they? Women are slightly harder to gauge. They will always say that they love something, unless you have done something terrible. But, in the case where you’re in the safe zone, or even in a bit of a tough zone, you should know what kind of gifts your woman likes.

You will know this through the communication and time you spend with her. Not all women love red roses. Some like lilies, others love daffodils, while the rest could be into sunflowers; we all have different tastes. The same thing goes with chocolates. Some love dark chocolate, others white chocolate. Some love expensive truffles, while others like mainstream milk chocolate. Tokens of appreciation are more specific in a way that they should be based on their personality and something they love. You can give a girl a stuffed bear, even a slinky one, if that’s what she like.

Remember, not all women are the same. You need to spend time and have a two-way communication with your partner to really know what she wants.

How Flowers Light up One’s Day

It doesn’t matter if you’re in a restaurant or a wedding. Believe me, they’re everywhere. Whenever you pass by a garden, or even when you go out on a date, you’ll see at least one of them. We know that they’re beautiful, and that they come in different shapes, colors and scents. There is a flower for every occasion and person. Their presence always adds to our happiness.

FlowerfieldYou might be scratching your head now, wondering how flowers are associated with happiness. The faint yelling of the words, ‘Flower Power’, ring in your ears as you imagine a psychedelic-looking van and a woman wearing a lily tiara who keeps unloading flowers off the side of that very psychedelic van. Okay, maybe you’re not thinking about the second part, but I can almost be sure that you’re still wondering about all the flower talk.

Firstly, let’s look at the basics of why flowers make people happy. They are beautiful; they look incredibly beautiful. They can make any surrounding look like paradise. Be it a rose garden with reds, peach, white, and even blue roses. Add in some sunflowers, lilies, orchids… the list goes on. The colors are vibrant, their petals are soft and the scents are sweet. The combination of these makes flowers physically attractive. It’s not only isolated to gardens or open air. It could be located at an office space, a living room or even a dormitory study desk. Its soft subtleness makes the surrounding décor attractive and makes anyone feel positive by just being in that room.

We use them in almost every occasion; be it weddings, dates, anniversaries, homecomings, graduations, proms and even housewarmings. When one receives a flower bouquet, they instantly feel happy because they know that there’s someone out there who took the time to show them how much they are loved.

Thirdly, and probably the most importantly, is that flowers are, in essence, superbly pretty. It lights up anyone’s mood whether they are visiting a park or placing a vase in their living room. They become more positive, less depressed. Their energy levels jump up and they feel that whatever space they are in seems bigger.

Flowers are magical little things, and if you want a more positive vibe in your life, having a vase of flowers in your room won’t hurt now, would it?
