With Christmas just around the corner, everyone is busy decorating their homes. The easiest way to spruce up your home for the holidays is to have a Christmas floral arrangement on your dinner or coffee table.
Instead of having store-bought décor, you can design your own Christmas floral arrangement. It will only cost you a couple of bucks. You can even work with existing fresh flowers in your home. If you want to get a new bouquet of flowers, that’s fine too. You can order online for the freshest bouquets and have them delivered to you on the same day. Nifty, eh?
- Most people prefer silk flowers in making table centerpieces, but for this project, use fresh flowers to bring more character. Red is a good option when you want something festive. Roses or Poinsettias shall do the trick. You will also need some foliage to cover the oasis ring (you can get this at various floral supplies stores). Holly (available in plant nurseries in the Philippines) or ferns may be used, but any vine is just as good.
- Cover the base of the oasis ring with foil to prevent water from seeping out. Place a large candle, variegated small fruits and candy canes in the center of the ring. Spray paint some of the small fruits in gold.
- Place the foliage on the oasis ring. Start at the base and work your way to the center.
- Cut the stems of the roses to about two to three inches. Intersperse them around the foliage.
And there you go… Your elegant Christmas floral decoration is done.
Fresh flowers can be used to embellish your personalized Christmas decoration. Working with fresh flowers can be tricky, but if you know how to prolong flowers’ life, there’s no need to worry. And if you want to send flowers as gifts this Christmas, just go online and search for the bouquet that you need.
